Better operations. Measurable change.

Every department starts with different needs. Before services begin, Elite Hospital Partners (EHP) works with hospital teams to assess those needs and design the changes that fit. Our case studies show what we changed and how the department performed afterward.

The process behind the numbers.

We improve performance by changing how the department works: removing bottlenecks, organizing the right teams and improving flow from arrival through disposition. Strong metrics follow from that work. An earlier timestamp or an initial triage encounter alone does not show that a department is working better.

A short time to an initial provider encounter is only one part of the picture. We also look at what happens next: whether evaluation and treatment move forward, how long patients remain in the department and whether they receive a timely disposition.

ELITE HOSPITAL PARTNERS

Results Across Four Emergency Departments

Elite Hospital Partners manages emergency departments at community, urban, and high-volume hospitals. The four departments below started from different conditions, and each made its own changes on top of the same operating model. Each site’s figures are its own before-and-after comparison and should be read on their own.

A SOUTHEAST TEXAS COMMUNITY HOSPITAL

Making Patient Flow a Leadership Responsibility

Physician turnover, low morale, and patient-flow problems affected this department. EHP built a dedicated physician team while addressing the arrival routines, boarding, nursing capacity, and service delays that shaped the patient experience. Active site leadership connected encounter-level review with hospital-wide action.

A DOWNTOWN HOUSTON HOSPITAL

Rebuilding EMS Trust and Front-End Patient Flow

This urban ED served a substantial homeless and psychiatric population and had become associated with those services among EMS crews. Long waits, poor flow, and an unstable physician core weakened confidence in its broader capabilities. EHP rebuilt staffing, front-end care, and the pathways through which patients reached the hospital.

A NORTH TEXAS COMMUNITY HOSPITAL

Rebuilding Access through True Pull-to-Full

A low-volume community emergency department had lost the confidence of patients and EMS. Daily visits averaged 22, physician access took 55 minutes, and the combined LWBS/AMA measure was 4.9%. EHP rebuilt the physician team and redesigned how patients entered, moved through, and left the department.

A HIGH-VOLUME OKLAHOMA HOSPITAL

Rebuilding a High-Volume Emergency Department Around Shared Responsibility

This emergency department is now the busiest in the Elite Hospital Partners group and the site with its strongest operational metrics. It averages 183 patients per day, door-to-doctor time is eight minutes, and LWBS averages 0.8%. The turnaround began in 2018 under the physician leadership that now leads EHP. EHP has continued the same management and operating approach since.
