Leadership
Personally involved. Directly accountable.
Hospital leaders know the owner and executive team of Elite Hospital Partners (EHP). Our leadership stays close to the physicians, the departments and the decisions that shape each practice.

David Darrigan, DO, MBA, FACEP
Founder & Chief Executive Officer
Dr. David Darrigan is a board-certified emergency physician and the founder of Elite Hospital Partners. He trained at Parkland Memorial Hospital / UT Southwestern and holds an MBA. His experience spans clinical emergency medicine, physician-practice development, and hospital emergency department leadership. He continues to work clinical shifts in EHP's departments, keeping him directly connected to the work and the teams he leads.
Before founding EHP, David held physician leadership and operational roles across multiple emergency medicine practices. His work included developing physician teams, managing hospital relationships, guiding contract transitions, and improving department operations and performance. That experience shaped his understanding of what hospitals need from an emergency medicine group, and what physicians need to build a successful practice.
David built EHP around the belief that an emergency medicine group should take responsibility for far more than filling shifts. His approach combines strong clinical care with a practical understanding of patient flow, staffing, documentation, revenue cycle, and the hospital's broader operations. He works directly with hospital executives, nursing leadership, hospitalists, specialists, and EMS to identify what needs to improve and stay involved until changes take hold.
He expects physicians to recognize the influence they have on the entire department. Their urgency, attitude, communication, and clinical decisions shape how the team functions, how patients move through care, and how nurses and staff experience their work. EHP's physicians are expected to embrace that leadership responsibility and approach the practice with an ownership mindset.
David's work also includes medical malpractice expert-witness review and contributions to emergency medicine documentation tools, including the medical decision-making component of Doc Assistant. He supports EHP's investment in physician development through its emergency medicine residency program in Lawton, Oklahoma, and fellowship program in Victoria, Texas.
As EHP's owner, David remains accessible to the hospitals and clinicians the group serves. He takes the performance of each practice personally and brings persistence, direct accountability, and a willingness to adjust when something is not working.
